Munchkins Adventurous Day

ramadhan is around the corner. so cousin ayunu initiate a last outing before we all settle in for ramadhan. and so, we decided to do something adventurous. again, Sentosa was our main location. but this time round, its Megazip Adventure Park that we are heading to. it was everyone's first time. much much excited. but honestly, most of us weren't really prepared, mentally and physically. we THOUGHT it was easy. but, trust me, it was really tough. so tough that kak eme and ayunu almost cried. teehee. but, it was a great experience for all of us. end of the day, we all still had our fair share of fun. see, when it comes to munchkins love, nothing is impossible. thumbs up to all of us for going through the obstacles. especially to kak eme and ayunu, GOOD JOB ladies! :)

after a whole day of fighting through the obstacles, we end the night at Wave House for dinner and chillax session. another fun day with munchkins. Oh! i love my munchkins lahhhhh! :)

macdees breakfast at 9am. dark clouds and heavy rain greeted us while we were on our way to USS. but, that doesn't dampened our spirit. we continued on, praying hard that it would stop raining. by 12 noon, mr sun shine brightly on us. hooray! lots of pictures taken. everyone's enjoying themselves. one ride after another. shows after shows. continuous roller coster rides. well done to ayunu, dayah ozu, asraff dudeson and khai xman for surviving the continuous and numerous roller coaster rides. da mcm orang hilang akal! nasib baik masih waras. hiak hiak hiak! 12 hrs of fun and laughter at USS with my dearest munchkins was L.O.V.E.D. :)

alhamdulilah, ayah masri is safely home. he lose weight alot. it hurts so much to see him in this state. he used to be so active, cheerful and talkative. eversince he's been diagnosed with different kind of sickness recently, he looked so weak and restless. all he wanna do is sleep which is definately not good. now he is back home with a tube stucked out from his left chest. that tube is for him to undergo dialysis every 2 days starting today. imagine a used-to-be healthy man having to go through such suffering now. berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu yang memikul. mama iejah has been a very strong woman. settling hospital stuffs, ayah masri's medical updates and conditions, home and work. she handles everything well. no complains at all. she's a great woman whom i really looked up to. but i know, deep down inside, she's feeling very drained out. she have to be strong for her family, for her 3 sons. love on the other hand, is weak. he's not able to handle and control his emotions. i've always known him for being soft-hearted. he's so upset about ayah masri's condition. his facial expression really shows that he's worried. i know, who wouldnt right? he will just sit infront of his dad, looking at him aimlessly. i know he feels so lost. not knowing what to do. when we sit down for dinner or whatsoever, he would always ponder how the future will be like. how long the family can stay together and be strong to face this challenge. i know for sure, he's thinking of his mum. he's thinking to lightened her burden. i know. and i know how tough it is for him to take up this challenge. he's the eldest son afterall. my everyday advice to him is to always be strong. always pray for his dad health to be better. never complain and never give up, for the sake of his mum and his 2 younger brothers. i may not be of any help physically, but for sure, im here to give love my utmost mental support. so dear boy, please stop worrying about me rushing to & fro or not having enough rest 'coz im willing to sacrifice my time and effort for you and your family. i love you and your family. everyday, i pray and hope for the best. Be strong, My Love.

one after another, my sufferings are like never ending. early morning went for my appointment at National Skin Centre. first liquid nitrogen treatment right after my consultation with the specialist. was told that i have to go through at least 10 of such treatment. it was painful like hell. terasa jari jari aku nak terputus. i cried while doing the treatment. love cried too upon seeing my tears. alahai si mamat ni. emo lah pulak. hehh! aftermath of the treatment, soreness and stinging sharp pain on my fingers. how the hell am i supposed to survive for 10 treatments?!! TELL ME HOW?!! even right now i cant type, write or hold anything properly. sigh. the specialist who will look after me for the rest of my treatment says that i must not give up. i've already started on the first treatment and so i shall continue on till i recover fully. well, no pain no gain. :)

I'm going to illicit little sympathy from this rant. But it is something I need to get off of my chest. It is an issue that vexes me on a consistent basis and quite frankly, I am hurt and appalled by some people's lack of discetion on this topic. I am a skinny chick. Don't get me wrong - I am not Nicole Richie skinny. Maybe more along the lines of Paris Hilton. Or i am skinnier than both of them. But I am the skinniest of all my friends and skinnier than the general population. Definitely not emaciated, though.

People see this and think it is perfectly okay to say downright scathing things to me. Let me give you examples of comments that have been thrown at me. And please keep in mind that some of these are from total strangers:

"You are so skinny it is disgusting."

"Do you eat?"

"Are you anorexic?"

"I used to look like you when I was your age. Then I had kids." (thanks)

"Were you just throwing up?" (after returning from the bathroom in a restaurant)

"Oh let's see what skinny people eat." (stranger in the grocery store)

"You are too skinny."

Why do people think this is okay? It is rude, way out of line and hurtful. And people try to cover up their comments by saying they are "concerned". I'M NOT NEAR DEATH. Or even close. And if it were the opposite and I were, say 10 or 20 pounds overweight, nobody would be so "concerned" about my health.I will admit, I have issues with my body and body image. Why? Because of the CONSTANT scrutiny. I am always being judged against what I look like. Does that mean I have an eating disorder? No. Could it ever turn into one? Maybe. So I wish people would mind their own business and focus on what THEY are eating and perhaps leave thin people alone.

Let's look at it from another perspective. We live in a society where more than 60% of the world's population is now overweight. Scary, right? Obesity has now replaced starvation. So just imagine all of the above mentioned statements in reverse, aimed at someone who is overweight. Look:

"You are so fat it is disgusting."

"Do you eat too much?"

"Are you morbidly obese?"

"I used to look like you until I had gastric bypass surgery."

"Were you just binge eating?"

"Hmmmm, let's see what fat people eat."

"You are too fat."

See how hurtful the statements are? People don't realize how words can be so detrimental.

I really feel for Nicole Richie. She is under constant surveillance and accusation and honestly, the story is getting old and tired. Recently, she had a run in with a photographer who said to her "You look disgusting, Nicole. Gain some weight."

How mean is that? Granted, she is unhealthily skinny. I'll admit it. But the poor girl vehemently denies having an eating disorder, blaming her drastic weight loss on stress. It can happen. It happened to me. Sometimes it is not intentional. And yet she is still hounded on a daily basis.

Why can't people just mind their own business? Concern yourself with your own health and your own appearance (if appearance is so important to you) and let the skinny chicks be.

Keep this in mind: If you wouldn't say it to a fat person, don't say it to a skinny person. We have feelings too you know. PERIOD.

finally, its the weekend. i cant wait for saturday 'coz love promised to bring me out for shopping. hehh! i worked half day. after work, collect maya from the workshop then headed to tampines mall for lunch and to singtel 'coz love wanted to purchase a new handphone. after which, proceeded home, changed and headed to pasir ris for a friend's wedding. then went home to changed again then headed to town. zombieland for movie was at 10.40pm, so kite jalan2 carik benda nak shopping. haha! actually not really lah. 'coz we've already wrote down what we wanted to buy. haha! so save time nak pikir2 ape nk beli. hehh! and so we headed to heeren to buy acap's birthday present. then to paragon to buy my itouch at istudio. ouh wait! should i say, 'our' itouch. hehh! then 30 mins before movie, headed to newurbanmale for beach sandals for the both of us. weeeeeee!! saya suke skaliii!! =))

sunday was much of a relaxed day. mash came over to help me with my itouch thingy. we spent almost the whole afternoon at my crib. then headed to tampines mall and had pastamania for dinner. did our manicure/pedicure at tampinesOne then walked back to tampines mall for dessert at swensen. woohoo!!

thats my weekend well spent. =))

finally, BATAM with munchkins. it was A-W-E-S-O-M-E. though there's a few hiccups but we managed to hold on. everyone had their fair share of fun & laughter. great weekend spent with my dearest munchkins. ILY. =))

i was so super excited for new moon. but its just so disappointing. the storyline sucks. f c u k - ing slowwww. too much talking. way too much. fighting scenes only takes up 30 mins of the 2 hrs show. WAT THE HELL?! i was already yawning & slouching halfway thru the movie. tsssk! but edward & jacob never fails to make me go googoogaga. hehh!

supper after movie at simpang. 3 cars drove like mad along PIE. goodness! say our goodbyes at arnd 2am. 8 hrs to BATAM. woots!!

weekend was gooood coz time spent with dearest friends & cousins. saturday was out with love, mash & bish. jalan2 at orchard. early dinner at nana thai. dessert at MacDonald. while having dessert, mash & myself feels like going out but dunno where to. haha! except for myself, the rest suggest places like clarke quay, bowling, pool, etc. and so, all agreed on Timbre. and it was Goodfellas night. yeehaw! so without wasting anymore time, 2 bikes rode down to Timbre @ Substation. we reached just in time as the Goodfellas were doing their warming up & tuning. thanks mash & bish for the night. =D

attend a cousin's wedding at nenek aman's. as usual, enjoyed the free flow of ayam masak merah, rendang, sambal goreng pengantin & lontong. after which, planned a kala session with the munchkins. the last part of the kala session was crazy, i tell you. singing together to poker face to take a bow to shewolf to boom boom pow and to lots more. funny thing is abang can still sleep even though the room seems like its gonna collapsed anytime soon. nyaahaa!! it was really crazy lahh. and thanks munchkins for the great night. i love you guys lah! =D

and again, its monday. i cant wake up this morning. so i continue sleeping till 9.30am. hehh! its past lunchtime but i've yet to eat. but its ok. i dont feel hungry anyway. i just want monday to end quickly. thats all.

and oh! im sooooo looking forward to Batam with dearest munchkins next week! weeeeeee!! =D

We all have "faith".

FAITH, I believe, is something we all have, but to varying degrees. Do you have the faith to believe that there can be an all-powerful creator, or do you put your faith in science? Or do you believe in a combination of several things and/or ideas?

I believe we all do. The question is "how much faith do we allow to become reality in our life?"

Consider this.

Faith stagnates unless you expose yourself.
Faith is not a noun, it's a verb. Action is a critical part of faith.
Faith is in action when you make yourself vulnerable--practicing what you believe.
Faith is similar to a guidance system that NASA uses regularly.
When the space shuttle is on the launch pad, the guidance system is not activated because it's not needed. BUT, when it breaks free from the launch pad, then the guidance system kicks in. Everyone involved has to believe the guidance system will successfully guide the shuttle to the end of the mission. They have faith in the guidance system.
We have to rely on faith when all else tells us we're crazy...when there's no evidence what-so-ever...and when everything points to something else.
When you practice faith, you can count on others thinking you're out of you mind. Many times you will be ridiculed for your faith (in religion, science, others, etc.).

An Understanding.

Inherently, faith allows for no tangible evidence to be made available--that you know of--which would back up or support your claim, idea, theory or thought. It is simply an overwhelming understanding that, to you, is convincing.

now im having a 50-50 feeling to whether should i switched job or not. big boss is being nice again. bought me bvlgari perfume & body lotion. woohoo!! =D aside from all e gifts that he bought me, getting free usage of petrol, stress free working environment, sponsored class 3 licence, able to drive audi & bmw around, perfect working hours & blah blah blah, should i really switch job?? saturday was planned JB trip with dear families. it was a quick & short one. after which, met mash at orchard for dinner to lepaskan rindu. hehh.

sunday was impromptu JB trip with love. headed Bukit Indah Jusco via 2nd link. late lunch at Kenny Rogers. it was more of a "jalan jalan cari makan" event for us. haha! by 5pm, we were 2 full & satisfied bears lepak-ing outside the shopping mall. BAHH! so decided to head back since both of us is already half-dead thanks to all the food that we had. kekekeke.

on another note, love bought me a new bag. the bag that i've been eyeing for... weeeee!! im a happy happy girl... =D

and as usual, im stucked in the office on a mundane monday... TSSSK!

i feel so upset and disappointed for tis year raya coz its my 1st raya without abang.. its just too sudden when abg said that he's going melaka on malam raya. and that he will only be back the next night. though its just one day, it does make a big difference to the family. mom cried the whole night and she didnt sleep well coz she's just too upset abang is not with us on 1st day of raya. raya family picture seems so incomplete. very incomplete. raya means nothing when the elder brother is not with us. tsssk!!

i realised that i've got at least 5 pairs of unused stiletto heels which i dumped inside the shoe cupboard. its not really unused lah but been used for like only twice or thrice. i've been wearing sneakers all the while ever since i passed my 2b licence. and on the other hand, i bought those heels when i used to work with some law firm. so i thought of selling them instead of letting them rot inside the cupboard. but, no idea where to sell them lah. anyone got any idea where i can let go of these stilettos?

its already September, for goodness sake. haizz. so fast huh.. and alot has been happening whether i like it or not. suddenly, i feel so tired. tired. restless. upset. disappointed. just too much for me to describe. tskk!! one problem after another. i cant run coz it wont solve anything. i have to face it but i just dont have the effort and strength. i hate being left alone. coz once im on my own, every single problem gushes its way and hit me like heavy waves and drowned me. sigh. there's too much stuffs playing in my head. i cant share with people coz they might not understand. being at home is not even helping me. it makes the situation worsed. i no longer feel the love of a home. i really hate what im going through right now.

jb trip with mash & bish. they wanted to buy baju kurung. so headed to Larkin then to Jusco. its been awhile since i last went to jb seyy. pumped petrol, car wash then home sweet home. didnt managed to break fast in JB coz bishy & mashy gotta break fast with family whilst love is werking night shift. so once reached home, love helped me prepare meal for break fast -home cooked spaghetti. besstt!! =D
